Abhishek Sharma is the Chief Risk Officer at Ajman Bank, with over 20 years of experience in enterprise risk management across leading regional and international financial institutions, including HSBC, GE Capital, and Al Hilal Bank / ADCB, where he previously served as Chief Risk Officer.

Abhishek’s core expertise covers credit risk, market and liquidity risk, operational and fraud risk, regulatory and financial crime compliance, and information security. He has a strong track record in developing and implementing enterprise-wide risk works aligned with regulatory requirements and international best practices.

At Ajman Bank, Abhishek acts as a key strategic advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board Risk Committee, leading the bank’s risk strategy in an increasingly complex financial and regulatory environment. His focus is on safeguarding capital, strengthening governance, and enhancing the bank’s resilience while supporting sustainable growth.

Abhishek holds an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta as well as an Honours degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi.
